The deeper things of the Bible

Symmetry

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

God told Adam;

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die

Genesis 5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

If a day is a thousand years to the Lord, Adam died on the day that he ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is possible and I think likely that Adam was 33 years old when he left the Garden of Eden There are three Adam figures in the Bible: Adam himself, Noah and Christ. The parallels between Adam and Christ are profound:

Adam ate the fruit, Christ is described as the fruit of thy womb;

Luke 1: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

The fruit that Adam ate came from a tree, Christ (the fruit) was crucified on a tree: (Acts 5:30; 10:39; 13:29; I Peter 2:24)

The world was cursed with death because of Adam, the world was saved from death because of Christ.

Hosea 6: 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Once again, a thousand years is a day to the Lord. Christ died 2 days ago; we enter the third day in 2030. Records show that Jesus was born in 3 BC and was 33 when He died. As Christs story parallels Adams, I think it likely that Adam was 33.

God made the world in six days and rested on the seventh. We are in the Jewish year 5783 but the calendar is short as the Jews don’t count the time that they were slaves, and their calendar has also been changed several times. We do know that around six thousand years, or six days have passed and by the seventh, Gods work will be complete and He will rest. I believe that the sixth day probably ends in 2030.

Matthew 17:1 After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 His appearance was changed in front of them, his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light.

In Revelation 11:15 when the seventh trumpet is blown we are told: “The world’s kingdom has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will rule forever and ever.”

These are things that I find interesting, there are far more than those few verses which point to 2030 but here’s some interesting stuff about Noah;

Noah’s father was the last of those who knew Adam. Noah’s generation were the first born without direct communication with Adam, who died 126 years before Noah’s birth. People forget things very quickly and I suppose that Adam and Eve became myths quite quickly. When Noah was around 500 years old, God decided to destroy the world with a flood. It took Noah 120 years to build the ark, so he was just over 600 when the flood came.

It was at this time that God changed the lifespan of men to 120 years. On the ark with Noah were his wife, his three sons and their wives. These eight were the last generation to have thousand year lives.

Things get strange at this point and Priests and Pastors avoid the subject like the plague. The King James version says Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

The ISV and other translations call the sons of God divine beings and Nephilim. Strong’s Concordance H5303 Napil, is translated as Nephilim, is rendered as; to fall on, to attack, fallers, rebels, apostate. We are not given any other information about these creatures, but many assume they are fallen angels because of:

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day

There is a good deal of extra Biblical scripture which tells the story of the Nephilim and one; The Book of Enoch, was part of the Cannon of the early church. Enoch was of course Noah’s Grandfather, the seventh from Adam and; Enoch walked with God. If the Book of Enoch is genuine, as it certainly appears to be then it should be trusted. In the fifth century The Council of Laodicea, decided to remove Enoch from the Bible because they believed that his teachings were too mystical and far-fetched.

The modern church will tell you categorically that the angels don’t have free will, if you quote Jude 1:6, they will tell you they had it at one point, but they don’t anymore, and you won’t get any reference for this assertion. Yes, that happened to me. The church discourages the study of the supernatural and if you read extra Biblical texts, you’re as good as lost. Fortunately, I’ve already read it, so you don’t have to.

Enoch says that a group of angels swore an oath on Mount Hermon after they saw the daughters of men, found them attractive and wanted to mate with them. I don’t know how this worked biologically as they were indeed giants and angels are thought to be androgynous. There is no evidence that they are androgynous, but they are always male when they appear in the bible, and we are told that:

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as angels in heaven.

According to Enoch, the fallen angels taught men all the good stuff we have around us now; they taught the women to use makeup, the men how to make weapons of war, how to ride horses and gamble on the outcome, how to make medicine from roots. The list goes on and this story explains why men became the evil creatures they did in such a short space of time. The knowledge we have today comes from before the flood, the technology we have now, existed then. The massive technologically brilliant structures (which we haven’t bombed yet) that we see around the world, are proof of that.

It was this knowledge and what it did to men and the mating of angels with women that brought about the flood.

Back to Adam; Adam’s first born was Cain and he was a murderer. Adam’s second son was Abel and he was accepted by God. There was a line of good and a line of evil. This is alluded to throughout the Bible:

Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Noah had three sons; Shem, Ham and Japeth. Two of his sons were good but Ham was cursed by his father and his line was evil. From Ham’s line we got Nimrod, who was a mighty hunter before the Lord. This was not a good thing; Nimrod was evil, and his kingdom began in Babel, where the tower was built and the languages confused.

Judaic scholars interpreted “a mighty hunter before the Lord” (Heb.: גבר ציד לפני יהוה, ḡibbōr-ṣayiḏ lip̄nê Yahweh, lit. “in the face of Yahweh”) as signifying “in opposition to the Lord”.

Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

We know that the flood killed everyone except the occupants of the ark, so for there to be giants on the earth afterwards, they must not have been men.

Genesis 7:21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth,

The Bible only tells us this about the curse of Ham:

Genesis 9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

No one knows exactly what this means though many have speculated.

Regardless of the details, it seems that Egypt was built by the descendants of Nimrod, after God destroyed the Tower of Babel and people spread throughout the earth. The Jews were brought out of Egypt by God, and Egypt was destroyed. We know little about the line of evil, following Egypt’s destruction until King David.

Solomon was born of David, and he was blessed by God with wisdom. He is known to have been the wisest man who ever lived. He built the Temple in Jerusalem and made Israel the richest nation on earth, He then fell into idolatry. The Bible records only a little of his life, we have Ecclesiastes and the Song of Solomon, he is mentioned in Kings and spoken of elsewhere but nothing detailed.

You can read stories about his life elsewhere though. It is said that he captured demons and forced them to build the Temple. There are several books which allegedly contain incantations to summon and command demons. They are the Keys of Solomon and the Lesser Keys of Solomon. I don’t recommend them, though I have read them.

King David also had another son: Nathan and through this line, Christs mother; Mary was born. Although Joseph his earthly father was from the line of Solomon, that line had ceased with the curse placed by God on David’s descendant Jeconiah, because of the wickedness of Jeconiah. So, we have the line of good and the line of evil, which continues to this day.

All the European Royalty can trace their lineage back to King David. All of the US Presidents are related to European Royalty. I’ll leave it up to you to discover whether it is through Solomon or Nathan that they reach David, though I’m sure you can guess.

The Stone of Scone, without which the English Monarch cannot be crowned, is said to be the stone on which Jacob rested his head when he wrestled with God. The British flag is called the Union Jack, which allegedly stems from the Union of the Tribes of Jacob.

To wrap things up symmetrically, we have Christ who ministered for three and a half years and the Anti-Christ who will reign for three and a half years in Revelation. Two witnesses were needed for Christ to be put to death, in Revelation God will send two witnesses who prophesy for three and a half years before the Anti-Christ is put to death. As Christ was beaten and had His blood and water drawn by the spear, the Two Witnesses will smite the earth and turn the water to blood. As there was an earthquake when Christ died, there will be an earthquake when the Two Witnesses go to heaven.

God made the earth in six days and on the seventh He rested. After six days, or six thousand years, Christ will return and rule on the seventh, for a thousand years.
