England
I thought I’d make some images that relate to England today. I live in England and have spend most of my life here, though I am of Irish descent. I think it’s a shame that the English are spoken of so badly because of the Empire, it’s not as though the average person had any say in that, or any other issue for that matter.
The English have given the world a great deal and here’s a little celebration:

John Lennon of course, member of the Beatles.

Queen Elizabeth 1

One of the most famous bridges in the world; Tower Bridge. There is a story that Robert P McCulloch thought he was buying this, rather than London Bridge, though this has always been denied.

The most famous Playwright of all time is William Shakespeare, who still has plays performed to this day.

The Battle of Waterloo affected not just England but the whole of Europe, where Field Marshall the Duke of Wellington put an end to Napoleon Bonaparte’s Reign as Emperor of the French.

And of course the 1588 defeat of the Spanish Armada which saved both England and the Netherlands from the Spanish Empire.
The tiny country of England has had more influence on the modern world than any other. In almost every country you can find someone who speaks English. The whole world runs on time set in Greenwich, England and the whole world communicates on a system called the World Wide Web, invented by the Englishman Tim Berners-Lee.
I think sometimes we should just say thank you. Thank you England.
Here’s a couple of Ninja’s drinking Afternoon Tea:

That’s all there is, see you in the next one.
Cheers,
